Safeguard your components from static build-up with these anti-static bags. Bags are made from 4 Mil non-corrosive virgin polyethylene film. Bag is 15 inches wide and 18 inches long.

Note: 4 Mil = .004 inches in thickness. Typical sandwich bags you buy at the store are 1 to 1.5 Mil. Poly anti-static bags are the only recommended plastic bags to be used in an EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area). Regular plastic bags (store-bought sandwich bags, for example) can generate and hold static charges in excess of 10,000 volts. Items stored inside these bags are not protected from a contact ESD (Electrostatic Discharge). These bags should be used for storing non-static sensitive components, such as screws or other parts you keep in bags and bring into your working environment. They can also be used if you need to place a component temporarily inside a bag that does not generate or hold static charge. However, you must make certain that your hand or anything else that touches the bagged component is not holding static charge that could be transferred and cause damage. Wearing an anti-static wrist strap is recommended.
