Thermal Compound Spreader (Blank Credit Card)

Overview:

Many modders (ourselves included) feel that a credit card is the best tool to use for spreading a thin, even coat of thermal compound across a CPU. This method tends to be most useful with thermal compounds with thicker consistencies that may not spread evenly under the pressure of the heatsink if only a dab is put in the center or a single line is put down. With this inexpensive blank card, you can easily spread the compound in an even layer across the entire CPU surface and relieve yourself of concerns about proper coverage.
